Finder: Rename the ist file to ist ( S4.plist in my case) Finder: Paste the ist file (you will be prompted for admin password) OR copy the second file via the following steps in Finder: open Terminal.app, then type cmd: cp -a "/Library/Extensions/NIUSBMaschineController.kext/Contents/MacOS/ist" "/Library/Preferences/ ist" Finder: Pase the NIUSBMaschineController file (NIUSBTraktorKontrolS4 in my case you will be prompted for admin password) Finder: Copy the NIUSBMaschineController file (NIUSBTraktorKontrolS4 in my case) Finder: /Library/Extensions/NIUSBMaschineController.kext/Contents/MacOS (NIUSBTraktorKontrolS4.kext in my case) OR copy the first file via the following steps in Finder: open Terminal.app, then type cmd: cp -a "/Library/Extensions/NIUSBMaschineController.kext/Contents/MacOS/NIUSBMaschineController" "/Library/Extensions/"

Install the latest version of Native Access (currently 3.3.1).Final page of installer will show failure.Install relevant drivers for your hardware:.I have also just got this working for Traktor S4 mk1 under MacOS 13.3.1 by following these steps:

I'm not even sure if this is/was the proper way, but shit it worked and I don't have to dish out a few hundred for new hardware (yet). I'm not sure if this same workaround will work for every legacy device, but it's worth a try if you haven't figured out how already. Once your computer is restarted, plug your Maschine in and it should work right away. I didn't write it down, but it was something like "NativeInstrumentsMaschineGmbH" or whatever. Once restarted, you'll see a "System extension blocked" dialog pop up. Then go to Library > Preferences and paste that into your preferences folder. Go back into to the Show Package Contents for "NIUSBMaschineController.kext" and copy the "ist" file. Go back to the main Extensions folder, paste that in. Once inside here, go to Contents > MacOS folder, and copy the "NIUSBMaschineController" file that's in there. Right click this, click Show Package Contents. Once restarted, go to the Library > Extensions folder (I had to search with Spotlight) and you'll see a file named "NIUSBMaschineController.kext". Once you've done that and the installation fails, go ahead and restart your computer. I followed the High Sierra workaround that worked for Mojave, but the installer failed every time. So I recently upgraded to a new MacBook and when trying to use my MK1 with Catalina, it did not work.
